British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace argued that Ukraine should place greater emphasis on its gratitude for Western assistance. The Guardian reported this after a press moment with the minister in Vilnius. The minister made his comments when asked to comment on President Zelenskiy’s complaint yesterday that his country had not been given a set timetable or conditions for joining NATO.

According to Wallace, he traveled to Ukraine last year to get a shopping list for weapons. “You know, we’re not Amazon,” he said. “I told them that last year when I drove eleven hours to get on the list.” But the minister also understood that Zelensky was speaking on his own stage and that, despite Zelensky’s complaints yesterday, the summit’s final agreement was good for Ukraine.
