Rage against the machine cancels European and UK tour | show

Rage Against the Machine has canceled its UK and European tour to give frontman Zack De La Rocha more time to recover from an injury sustained during a show on July 11 this year.

In a statement, the group said they would continue to perform Friday 12 and Sunday 14 August in the United States, but after that the band would take a break. For example, shows in Antwerp and Hanover were cancelled.

“The medical team has decided it’s best if Zack takes time to recover. As a result, shows in the UK and Europe will not take place in August and September. We are extremely disappointed to have to announce this cancellation,” the band continued. “The flights, travel times, and tight schedules were too great a risk for a full recovery.”

De La Rocha injured his leg playing in July. Since then he has been doing band shows while sitting in a chair. In total, thirteen shows have been cancelled, including at the Leeds Festival.
