^ “Range Rover Sport now as HST”.

The sleek six-cylinder contains advanced technology, such as a new electric supercharger. Thanks to a direct connection to the accelerator pedal, the supercharger spins at a speed of 120,000 revolutions per minute in half a second. This means that the concept of ‘turbo lag’ is outdated for Land Rover. Twin-scroll turbo and Continuously Variable Valve Lift increase engine power and optimize efficiency.

This performance-enhancing technology works in conjunction with the new Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) powertrain. Therefore, consumption is 9.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 213 g/km. This is the latest chapter in Land Rover’s plans to introduce an electrified version of every model by 2020. The technology is based on a Start-Stop system that switches off the engine when the car is stationary and combines a new 3.0-liter petrol engine with an electric motor. Thanks to regenerative braking, the system can recover energy and store it in a 48-volt battery. This energy can be used, for example, to get out of a jam.

The mild hybrid powertrain is fully designed and manufactured by Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar Land Rover produces the new 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, as well as its existing four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, at its Engine Manufacturing Center in Wolverhampton, England.

A new 294 kW (400 hp) petrol engine is reserved for the special HST version of the Range Rover Sport, which also features special interior and exterior details such as special badging, and carbon fiber finishing details on the bonnet, grille and sides. ventilation and rear door. Customers can choose from two wheel designs and five exterior colors: Santorini Black, Fuji White, Indus Silver, Firenze Red and Carpathian Grey. HST differentiates itself from the rest of the series with its red brake calipers. Gray anodized brake calipers are optionally available.

In the interior of the HST version, the sixteen-way adjustable Dynamic front seats now have a new color pattern and the steering wheel and gear lever are decorated with suede details. Satin Chrome shift paddles and HST badging on the dashboard complete the interior. Safety equipment includes Advanced Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Steer Assist as well as High Speed Emergency Braking. It’s only natural that the Range Rover Sport HST is equipped with traditional Land Rover off-road capabilities, including Terrain Response 2.

The new Range Rover Sport HST can be ordered for €139,020.
