Mollie, one of Europe’s fastest growing financial services providers, has now also launched Mollie Capital in the UK.

Mollie Capital is a fully integrated business financing service for small and medium businesses and has been launched in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in 2022. One of the first companies to use this is Dutch CookingLife.

Mollie Dash

In countries where Mollie Capital is already offered, companies that have been processing payments through Mollie for more than three months can apply for financing of up to EUR 350,000 in the Netherlands and financing of up to EUR 250,000 in Belgium and Germany. In England the amount reaches 250,000 British pounds sterling. This financing can be easily requested via the Mollie Dashboard and then assessed from various aspects. An important criterion here is the transaction history with Mollie. When the application is approved, in most cases the requested amount is available on the same day.

Financing

There are currently more than 5,000 small and medium-sized companies in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands that have applied for financing through Mollie, with a total value of more than 50 million euros. This financing is especially requested during or near peak retail seasons, such as Black Friday and holidays.

sebastian baker, Director General at Cooking Life: “We used financing through Mollie Capital to renovate our headquarters and warehouse. This allowed us to finance most of the renovation work up front and thus really invest in a nice warehouse. And this helps us handle the end-of-year rush well.”

Solution

“Small and medium-sized businesses often find it difficult to obtain the financing necessary to compete with large players in the e-commerce sector,” said Koen Koppen, CEO at Mollie. “We already offer solutions to Belgian, German and Dutch companies through Mollie Capital, and I’m proud that we can now make a difference to companies from the UK too. This way they can quickly and flexibly obtain the necessary capital, for example to make important investments or to prepare for peak seasons.”
