These big names will be looking to earn tour cards at this year’s PDC Q-School

The Darts World Cup is over, but the darts circus continues. PDC Q-School will be played next week. Here darts players can get their tour card and with it they can participate in professional tournaments. Q-School is divided into two parts: darts players from England play for tour tickets and European darts players do so in Germany. Players from all over the world can choose. The provisional list of participants includes a number of big names.

Q-School begins on Monday with three days of preliminaries. The players must then qualify for the final round, where tour cards will be dealt. Players who lost their tour cards last year automatically qualify for the finals. The final round lasted four days. PDC has not published a complete list of participants, but most of the participants are already known.

Dutch
Many Dutch people participate in Europe. There are currently 98 people on the participant list. Jelle Klaasen (2006 world champion), Wesley Plaisier, Chris Landman (last WDF World Championship finalist) and Ron Meulenkamp, among others will try to earn tour cards. An important name on the list is Noa-Lynn van Leuven. She qualified for the Women’s World Games last year.

The Netherlands actually already had 100 participants, because Jeffrey de Graaf and Jules van Dongen also took part. De Graaf, who reached the third round of the World Cup, plays under the Swedish flag and Van Dongen plays for the United States.

WDF World Champion

In 2019, she became the first woman to win a match at the PDC World Championship and reached the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam of Darts in 2021. It appears that Beau Greaves will not be participating in this year’s Q-School, but there may be more names added.

World Cup finalist
Former World Cup finalists Mark Dudbridge (2004), Kevin Painter (2005), Andy Hamilton (2012) also participated. Just like 2-time BDO/WDF world champion Scott Waites and former youth world champions Bradley Brooks and Ted Evetts.
