Rus again the best in Rhijenhof

Just like in 2019, Arantxa Rus won the ITF tournament at the De Rhijenhof tennis center in The Hague, just across the border from Wateringen.

The 32-year-old from Monsterse beat Czech Sara Bejlek in two sets in the final: 7-6 and 6-4. is Russian accepted with a wildcard into the tournament after failing to qualify for Wimbledon. Ranked as world No. 86, he is by far the strongest player in the tournament.

For Russia, this was her third win in a singles tournament this year.

For men, the title went to Max Houkes who won against Guy den Ouden in the Dutch final.

Double

Rus was allowed to cheer twice in this tournament. On Saturday she also won the doubles final together with Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic.

Elvani Bequick Open
