NOS Sport editor-in-chief resigns immediately / Villamedia

RENEW The editor-in-chief of NOS Sport will be stepping down soon. NOS management has decided this in good consultation with members of the editorial board, the broadcaster reported in a press release.

The editor-in-chief previously announced that he would be stepping down in time. It is now being sped up. A caretaker editor-in-chief will be appointed in the short term, who will remain in office until a new editor-in-chief is recruited. After that, a new editor-in-chief was assembled.

The National Confidential Advisory Association (LVV) said on Saturday, after an article in de Volkskrant about transgressive behavior at NOS Sport, that the editor-in-chief should resign immediately. The working atmosphere at NOS Sport has not been great for a long time. The external secret adviser received more than one hundred reports of violations in the last period.

Transfer files
Maarten Nooter, along with deputy editor-in-chief Pim Marks, Selma Schuurman and Ewoud van Winsen, form the editor-in-chief of NOS Sport. Nooter was appointed editor-in-chief of NOS Sport in 2007.

Even if the entire editor-in-chief resigns, Marks and Schuurman, along with the interim editor-in-chief, will ensure that the current file transfers properly. Earlier this week it was announced that presenter Tom Egbers would not be seen at NOS Sport for the time being. Janke Dekker, chair of the MORES hotline and wife of Egbers – also announced on Sunday that she would be stepping down.
