Feyenoord met AS Roma in the Europa League quarter-finals

In the draw at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, former Hungarian footballer Zoltán Gera linked Feyenoord with the team from Rome. It was a repeat of last season’s Conference League final. Then the team won against Jose Mourinho who was still the coach.

The other fixtures in the second European tournament are Manchester United-Seville, Juventus-Sporting Portugal and Bayer Leverkusen-Union Saint-Gilles.

By victory: Leverkusen or Union Sint-Gillis

If Feyenoord manage to control Roma, they will play in the semifinal against the winner of the duel between Bayer Leverkusen and Union Sint-Gillis.

The team from Rotterdam reached the next round last night after a gala performance against Shakhtar: Ukraine were beaten 7-1 in Maasstad.

The Europa League final will be played in Budapest on May 31.

AZ in the socket

The Champions League quarter-final draw also took place earlier in the day. It produced beautiful posters for Manchester City-Bayern Munich and Real Madrid-Chelsea. Inter is linked with Benfica. The last quarter-final is the meeting of Italy: Napoli against AC Milan.

This afternoon AZ also already knows which opponent it will face in the Conference League quarter-finals. Alkmaarders hampered yesterday with a win over Italian Lazio.
