Topicus is further improving the business financing application process

Rabobank, Credion and Topicus are taking steps to digitize business financing applications. From May 19, Credion advisors will apply for financing from Rabobank’s brokerage desk via Fyndoo Advise. This makes the application process more efficient and applicants receive clarity more quickly through their credit advisor.

Fyndoo Advise, a consulting platform for business (credit) advice from Topicus, is a consulting platform that allows business advisors, such as accountants and intermediaries, to offer consulting services to entrepreneurs. The platform supports, among other things, financial analysis based on annual figures, drawing up forecast scenarios, determining the creditworthiness of a company and applying for financing, now also digitally at Rabobank’s intermediary desk.

Digital progress

Representing Rabobank, Michiel Kolff, Director of Intermediary Desk Companies, called this collaboration a logical step in its digitalization strategy: “Rabobank continues to strive to make its working methods more customer-friendly and efficient. The fact that financing applications can now be submitted completely digitally to banks via Credion advisors is a major step forward.”

Credit advisors can submit their applications digitally via Fyndoo Advise. They are included step by step in the application. Depending on the product or products applied for, all data and documents required by Rabobank to assess the application will be specifically requested.

Carlo van der Weg, director of Credion: “For many years, Topicus has been our partner in processing and preparing customized financing applications via the Fyndoo Advise platform. We are therefore pleased that applications for Rabobank can now also be accessed digitally and efficiently from Credion via Discover.”

In Fyndoo Advise, it is assessed whether an entrepreneur is eligible for one of the selected financing solutions based on, among other things, the amount to be financed, financing objectives, time period and sector.

“By requesting all necessary information at the front door, Rabobank Intermediary Desk receives the complete file at once. This means that financiers do not need to return to customers to obtain additional information or documents. Because this data has been tested, entrepreneurs quickly know where they stand. If the application isn’t already up to par, advisors can use the built-in forecasting module to effectively provide advice to collaborate on an entrepreneur’s financing capabilities,” said Jamie Burink, Business Line Manager for business financing at Topicus.

Scenario analysis

For advisors, using Fyndoo Advise offers even more benefits. In addition to the credit application module, where one credit application can be submitted directly to multiple lenders, advisors have access to advanced scenario analysis tools. This allows him to compare different (financing) options with each other and also see in a broad financial context whether financing is wise, and which financing solution best suits the customer’s specific situation, taking into account the financing objectives, the entrepreneur’s financial situation and, for example. For example, sectors where entrepreneurs are active.

Based on several actions, you simulate which is most profitable: renting or borrowing. For example, what impact will it have on liquidity? Based on customer expectations, among other things, is sufficient cash flow available to meet additional financing costs? What if the term is extended by one year? Important aspects in the context of the duty of care.

With Fyndoo Advise, financing applications can also be qualitatively proven, so lenders can confidently rely on the advice provided by intermediaries during the financing application guidance.

The products offered by Rabobank through Fyndoo Advise are loans, commercial mortgages, current accounts and rentals. In the pilot phase, this financing solution can be implemented exclusively by financial advisors affiliated with the Credion franchise organization.
