This is why British royals wear white at state banquets

Last week we were enchanted by the beautiful photos of the state banquet at Buckingham Palace. South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol visits the UK. During a state banquet at Buckingham Palace, one thing stood out: almost all of the royal women wore white dresses.

The first reason nobles choose white clothes is because white is associated with positive things. The color symbolizes peace, purity and new beginnings. The perfect color to stay politically neutral and to emphasize the warm relationship between the host country and your own.

#2 White and jewel

Another reason to wear white is because the jewelry really stands out with this color. The white color makes the jewelry shine beautifully so that it can be clearly seen at state banquets.

#3 Flag colors

The final reason why royals wear white to state balls has to do with the host country’s flag. The South Korean flag consists of white, blue, red and black. Queen Camilla wore a red dress, while the Duchess of Gloucester chose a blue dress.
