Google Assistant can send reminders to other people

You can send reminders to your partner or children via Google Assistant. Think of reminders about shopping or doing homework.

Do you want someone in your house to take out the trash at a certain time? Then you say, for example, ‘Hey Google, remind Harry to take out the rubbish at eight o’clock at night’. Harry will then receive reminders in the evening on his phone and other devices equipped with Google Assistant.

The memories can be very specific. Google Assistant can also send reminders as soon as someone reaches a certain location. Think supermarket or school. You can only send reminders to people who are part of your Google family group.

Availability

This new feature will roll out in the coming weeks. Initially only in English, for users in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. In the future, the feature will likely be available for more languages and in more countries.

The exact words you say to send a reminder may work a little differently in Dutch.
