Dalata will invest millions of dollars in a new addition to the Amsterdam American Hotel

Dalata Hotel Group has completed its acquisition of America’s Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam, the Irish hotel operator announced in a press release on Wednesday. This hotel was taken over from the Zien Group and changed its name to Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American.

Dalata has announced that it wants to invest more than 4.5 million euros in the coming years to further enhance American development. “This is a very exciting day for the Dalata team as we officially announce the acquisition of the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American. This characteristic hotel has been offering renowned Amsterdam hospitality for over 100 years. This is a great addition to our Clayton Hotels portfolio,” said CEO Dermot Crowley. “We look forward to embracing the building’s rich heritage and maintaining its position as a premium destination for visitors to Amsterdam.”

“I would like to thank the Zien Group team for their support throughout the transaction, which contributed to a smooth transition. Also a very warm welcome to the staff at the hotel as they join the wider Dalata family. We recognize that our employees determine our success, reflect our culture, and provide a welcoming experience for our guests. We are confident that our newest team members will continue to provide exceptional service at the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American.”

Billy Skelli-Cohen, CEO of Zien Group, explains why the American company is being sold: “The decision to sell Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American is in line with our broader vision for the group. Our current focus is on refining the Eden brand and reimagining some of our current properties to form new hotel concepts. We have enjoyed working with the Darata team throughout this process and wish them the best as they write the next chapter for this great hotel. Meanwhile, we are fully committed to growth and are actively seeking opportunities to acquire and reposition properties in Europe and the UK.”
