The board of directors of CNNC International Limited has announced that Mr. Sun Ruo Fan has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 December 2023. Mr. Sun, 36 years old, joined China National Nuclear Corporation, the Company’s ultimate holding company, in January 2019 , and has worked as an employee at China National Uranium Company Limited, the indirect parent company of the Company, and served as interim chairman of the Company’s Natural Uranium Department, Deputy Director and Director. Mr. Sun was a project manager and purchasing manager in the Nuclear Fuel Department I and II at CGNPC Uranium Resources Development Co.
Ltd., and was appointed to work at CGN Global Uranium Limited, where he was responsible for product sales in the UK. Mr. Sun has extensive experience in international trade of natural uranium. Mr. Sun currently serves as managing director of CNNC Overseas Limited, the direct controlling shareholder of the Company.
Mr. Sun graduated from the College of Nuclear Technology and Physics Science and Technology Applications of Sichuan University in 2014 with a master’s degree in physics science and technology. With Mr. Sun’s extensive experience in natural uranium trading and his extensive network of contacts, the Board believes that Mr. Sun is capable of leading the Group towards promising future prospects in natural uranium trading.
