Logistics services provider AB Texel took over the transport and storage activities of UK transport company Aitken & Merry Contractors, which specializes in agricultural products.
In addition to transport activities, AB Texel UK will also take over twenty employees, a fleet, a site with a storage capacity of 22,000 tonnes and a building in Rutland, England, from Aitken & Merry Contractors.
With this acquisition, AB Texel UK further expands its services, especially in the field of tipper transportation. Aitken & Merry Contractors employees specialize in transporting agricultural products such as grain and rapeseed. This makes them an addition to AB Texel UK.
More than a hundred trucks
AB Texel UK employs 120 employees. They have a fleet of over a hundred trucks, trailers and tippers. The company is located in Whittlesey, in the heart of England’s largest potato region.
The AB Texel Group as a whole has 2,200 employees and branches in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, the UK and France.
