Thurston Moore, founder of Sonic Youth, has announced the cancellation of the US presentation of his book ‘Sonic Life’. In a message, Moore revealed that he suffered from a “debilitating” health condition that had worsened in recent years and prevented him from traveling by plane.
“I am deeply saddened to inform you that I have received a recommendation from my medical team here in the UK to cancel my book tour in the United States,” Moore wrote. “Over the years, I dealt with ongoing health conditions, although they never stopped me from touring and recording. Moore hopes to resume presenting his book in the near future, when his doctor gives him permission to travel by plane.
