The night before Budget Day about the new political reality

Special Budget Day is just around the corner. For (probably) the last time, Rutte will hear the Speech from the Throne as Prime Minister. And with the election fast approaching, General Political Reflections is not about the government’s biggest plans, but an early signal of an intensive and exciting campaign. What should we pay attention to at the start of the new political year?

The day before Budget Day, Joost Vullings, Charlotte Nijs and Marieke van de Zill look forward to this special third Tuesday in September at the new Hague Voices. Do budgets still have any meaning? And are the parties competing for voter support?

Led by presenter Vincent Rietbergen, three translators each told in 10 minutes what caught their attention about politics in The Hague. Does Budget Day give us an idea of what awaits us? With Haagse Stemmen in the Nieuwspoort Press Center you hear every month what is happening in the corridors of parliament.
