At the site inspection on Wednesday, June 1 at Stal Sibma, fan Linde Stal Sibma (Mark 491) received the Star with the first premium. The three-year-old mare was particularly impressive at the trot, where she ‘sat up and took off well’, according to head judge Piet Bergsma, who judged the horses along with Louise Hompe and Corrie Terpstra.
At the inspection at Rottum, a total of two horses were declared Stars and the number one, Tjeerd fan Stal’s colt Sibma (Yme 507 x Epke 474), received first honors thanks to a noble head, wide course, good movement through the body. , and run upwards with strong hind legs.
Three-year-old Linde was bred and owned by Stal Sibma and the third Stern offspring of Iris fan ‘t Fjildhûs Ster (Dries 421 x Tsjerk 328). Her great-grandmother was Crown Jewel Puck Ster Preferred (Oepke 266), who saw no less than 10 of her 16 children become Ster or higher. Linde is from the 65 bloodline, from a line that also produced sporty ‘Poll’ horses such as Jeroen Poll (Anders 451).
Jinke Marrit Ster, 11 years old
The second premium Ster went to the oldest mare at the check: Jinke Marrit S. Ster (Jisse 433 x Ulke 338). 11-year-old Jinke Marrit could have been a little nobler on his head, and his back could have been a little stronger too, but he had tough, dry feet. The mare raised by Mrs. J. Steenbeek from Joure and owned by Cristina Stoica has a good body and a kind heart. In the trot he goes up with good use of the back foot and with a good bend in the hock.
