The purity and design of the Range Rover Sport is also reflected in the all-new interior. The signature Range Rover Command Driving Position is cockpit style and combined with contemporary comfort and assistive technology.
The new Stormer Handling Package claims the best combination of chassis technologies for the most dynamic and agile handling. These include Dynamic Response Pro, All-Wheel Steering, Electronic Active Differential with Torque Vectoring by Braking and customizable programs. Dynamic Response Pro is a 48-volt electronically controlled stabilization system that can produce up to 1,400 Nm of stabilization torque on both the front and rear axles. All-Wheel steering provides dynamics and maneuverability at low speeds and stability at high speeds.
Dynamic Air Suspension, standard on the Range Rover Sport, features an adjustable volume air suspension for the first time. This system improves the operation of the undercarriage by adjusting the pressure in the air chamber. For optimal response, the system evaluates the road surface in front of the car using eHorizon navigation data to prepare for air suspension before cornering.
The Range Rover Sport debuted Adaptive Offroad Cruise Control, which helps drivers navigate difficult terrain. This system ensures even progress on the surface. There are four convenience settings, based on which the system adjusts the speed in its own way. The driver should mainly concentrate on the steering.
The Cabin Air Purification Pro system ensures optimal interior air quality, contributing to driver well-being and alertness. In addition, several Meridian audio systems are also available. Of these, the Meridian Signature Sound audio system is the most advanced and powerful audio system for the Range Rover Sport. Up to 29 speakers, including four in the headrests, create a personalized sound zone for four passengers. The new generation of Active Noise Cancellation comes into play here.
The Pivi Pro infotainment is controlled via a 13.1-inch high-resolution ‘floating’ touchscreen with haptic feedback. The display is centrally integrated in the modern dashboard. When operating navigation, media and vehicle settings, the system learns from the driver’s habits and preferences. The system intelligently adapts the user experience with this, as an intuitive personal assistant. Land Rover’s Electric Vehicle Architecture (EVA 2.0) provides the basis for connectivity, including Software Over The Air (SOTA). This technology makes it possible to perform remote updates for 63 electronic modules.
Amazon Alexa provides some convenience by allowing various settings and functions to be controlled with natural voice commands. Alexa is integrated into the Pivi Pro and works with any Alexa device at home, via the Land Rover smartphone app and Remote Skills. As soon as it becomes available in the Netherlands for the New Range Rover Sport, it can be activated via the SOTA update.
The Range Rover Sport is manufactured exclusively at the Solihull Manufacturing Facility in the UK. This is the historic home of the Range Rover production and also the location where the New Range Rover is manufactured.
