“With college loans and personal loans, I came out of medical school with over £100,000 in debt. Now I can’t even afford to fix my car if something goes wrong with my paycheck,” he lamented.

He National Health Service (NHS) plunged into a deep crisis by austerity policies and the consequences of the pandemic and on 6 February experienced the biggest strike since its founding in 1948.
