The IBOP in Panningen on Saturday 13 April resulted in AAA honors for Jannechje van Stal Zadelhoff (Alwin 469 x Dries 421) thanks to a mega score of 88.5 points in his saddle test.
Steps and balance
The five-year-old mare bred by Stalhouderij Zadelhoff of Breukelen and owned by Melissa Klaassen of Dodewaard, was presented by Fleur van Kempen. Jury members Corrie Rave and Jos van der Wal were particularly pleased with the half-brother to studbook stallion Tjebbe 500; ‘a well-liked mare with a beautiful bearing, clean gait and strong trot.’ Jannechje received a grade of 8.5 on his protocol no less than twice for his stride and balance.
Three times AA
Three other mares returned home on Saturday with AA distinctions. Franneke Nanneke P Ster (Hessel 480 x Onne 376) owned by J. Peeters of Hoogeloon, scored 81 points thanks to 8 for her running and impulsiveness. Friesian Talent Cup finalist Norah Ster (Teun 505 x Tsjalle 454) scored 77 points under saddle with her regular rider Demi Nuys. The mare from the Baukje Leijendekker farm of Witmarsum and owned by Harry and Faisca van Rossum of Maren-Kessel, earned praise for her trotting and shifting ability, for which she twice scored 7.5.
Demi van Nuys is back in action in Panningen, this time with Mila van ‘t Wilbroek Ster (Alwin 469 x Beart 411). The four-year-old mare, bred by R. Meeus of Arendonk and owned by Y. Pevenage of Zottegem, also scored 77 points thanks to five 7s on her protocals and an 8 for impulse.
A test for humans
Fifteen horses ran IBOP today, fourteen under saddle and one ridden in the driving test. In addition to the AAA and three AA grades, the jury was also able to obtain two A grades.
