American tennis player taking a break for his mental health

NEW YORK-. That The WTA Tour was indicated by American tennis player Amanda Anisimova will take an indefinite break from tennis for reasons of wear and tear and concern for it mental health.

“I’ve been really having mental health issues and burnout since the summer of 2022,” the American admitted on Instagram and reached No. 21 in the world. “It becomes unbearable to be in a tennis tournament. Right now my priority is my mental health and getting some rest. I’m working hard to continue. I will miss being there and appreciate the support.”

Anisimova, 21, reached the semifinals of the 2019 French Open after beating defending champion Simona Halep when she was 17 – the youngest woman to reach this stage at a major since 2006.

But later that year, before the US Open, his father and coach Konstantin died at the age of 52 of a heart attack.

Anisimova reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals a year later, eliminating Coco Gauff. She has twice reached the fourth round in Australia and beat defending champion Naomi Osaka in 2022.

Anisimova, who has two WTA singles titles, did not give a return date. He is currently ranked 46th in the world after losing in the first round in Madrid.
