American rock legend Bruce Springsteen announced this will postpone his remaining tour dates to 2023 until next year while he recovers from treatment for a stomach ulcer.
The 74-year-old singer continues to recover and will continue treatment for the rest of the year on medical advice, according to a statement.
“Thank you to all my friends and fans for your well wishes, encouragement and support. I’m in recovery and can’t wait to see you all next year“, said the musician nicknamed “The Boss” in his newsletter.
Springsteen has been touring with the “E Street Band” since the beginning of the year, but Earlier this month he announced that he would postpone his September concerts in the United States because of his illness. He also postponed two shows in August due to an unspecified illness.
“Rescheduled dates for every 2023 show, including those postponed earlier this month, will be announced next week and everything will take place at the originally scheduled location,” the statement said.

Shortly before announcing his stomach ulcer, “The Boss” played a non-stop three-hour set in his home state of New Jersey under a full moon in late summer and at one point ripped off his shirt to the delight of tens of thousands of fans.
Springsteen is famous for his marathon shows; the longest lasted more than four hours and it was a show he did in Helsinki in 2012.
In their final show before going on hiatus earlier this month, Springsteen performed several of his hit songsincluding a grandiose version of his state favorite “Jungleland.”
The artist also included music from his latest studio album, “Letter to you“, a meditation on loss and death from one of rock’s wisest stars.
