Hengyuan Refining Company Berhad announced the appointment of Mr. Zulhazmi Bin Mohamad as acting Chief Executive Officer of the company effective August 8, 2023. Age 52 years. Electrical Engineering graduate from University of Southampton, UK.
Work Experience and Employment: Mr Zulhazmi Bin Mohamad joined Hengyuan Refining Company Berhad (“HRC”) in 1994 and has held various positions in project & turnaround, engineering and maintenance including regional turnaround positions for the past 25 years. He was also involved in the detail design, construction, commissioning and start-up of the Long Residue Catalytic Converter Unit (LRCCU) project and the GREEN complex for HRC in Port Dickson. He was appointed as Senior Manager of HRC Engineering since 2011 and appointed as Chief Projects Officer in 2018.
He later became Chief Government Relations Officer in 2019 and supports companies in mediating business and operational issues by advising and identifying relevant interventions and strategies to resolve critical situations or disputes involving government, regulations and legislation.
