Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding are the world’s biggest hit clubs for the third week in a row.
Last week Calvin Harris hit number one in the UK. It was his eleventh number one for the British DJ, while Ellie Goulding now has her fourth. In the Worldwide Club 20, Calvin’s numbers are a little more modest; this is his third number one after By Your Side (with Tom Grennan, 6 weeks at number one) and Live Without Your Love (as Love Regenerator with Steve Lacy, 2 weeks at number one).
Jamie Jones’ Lose My Mind dropped nine places to 16th last week, making it the fastest faller. This week the Brit has almost made up for that loss as with an eight-place gain, Lose My Mind, at 8th, is now the fastest riser on the list. Meduza and Eli & Fur have both lost 10 places this week and Pegasus now looks set to drop out of the list.
This week on Worldwide Club 20 we introduce you to three new songs. Okay for you? Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso left their friend Axwell on board the Swedish House Mafia ship but embraced Parisi for a collaboration. During Ultra in Miami are you okay? could already be heard on the Swedish House Mafia set. Fans will also have heard Roman Flugal’s Geht Noch?, released in 2004 with the same synth line. Obviously are you okay? is just a quick snack because Swedish House Mafia still have a full agenda with shows at Creamfields, Future Festival and in the summer in Ushuaia.
Portugal. The Man is certainly not the type of artist you would expect to see as a successful artist in the Worldwide Club 20. You will know his voice from the hit Feel It Still with which he scored a top 10 hit in the Dutch Top 40 in 2018. Last month he released a new single with Dummy. The release was then edited by Chris Lake, who turned it into a highly commendable remix. Lake has previously had success with remixes; All Night Alone (by Josement) even reached number 2 in 2020, while his version of Who You Are? (by Miane) reached number 7 in the Worldwide Club 20 in 2021.
It’s not the first time Hannah Wants and Ara have met. The London duo already performed the song So High in 2022. The two have met again for The One. With this song, Hannah Wants launches a great successor to Cure My Desire with which she made a successful debut on the Defected label last year. She made the track with Clementine Douglas and it immediately gave her a debut in the Worldwide Club 20 with a best result of fourth place. The One is Hannah’s next trendsetter and this week is her third entry at number 17.
