It writer and academic Javier Marías (Madrid, 1951) suffering from a “lung condition” in progress Recovery“, as reported this Monday in a statement by publisher Alfaguara.
“In light of the concerns raised by the state of author Javier Marías’ health, we inform you that he suffers from a lung condition that is in the process of recovering,” the statement said, in which the publisher hopes “fast recovery” for writers.
Javier Marias is author of fifteen novels, among them, ‘El hombre sentimental’ (Ennio Flaiano Award), ‘Todas las almas’ (City of Barcelona Award), or ‘Corazón tan blanco’ (Critics Award, IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, Prix l’Oeil et la Lettre ).
Her other novels are ‘Tomorrow in the battle, think of me’ (Rómulo Gallegos Award, Prix Femina Etranger, Mondello Award, Fastenrath Award), ‘Berta Isla’ (Critics Award, Dulce Chacón Award, Best Book of the Year in Babelia, in Corriere della Sera and di Público de Portugal) and ‘Tomás Nevison’, his latest book, was published in March.
