The protagonist of this story reports that the first treatment they gave him only made his health worse. A few days later, he started feeling itching and pain in his left eye, which is why he decided to see a specialist. The ophthalmologist prescribed antibiotic eye drops and steroids for what he believed to be herpes simplex. However, this did not seem to do him much good.

According to the version released by Daily Mail, the young woman woke up on the morning of November 9 2022 without being able to see with her left eye. After consulting with the medical team at a private hospital in London, they diagnosed Griffin with keratitis caused by the Acanthamoeba amoeba.
Based on Control Center And Disease Prevention (CDC), this is a rare but serious eye infection that can cause permanent visual impairment or blindness, because the amoeba that causes it directly affects the cornea.
This type of amoeba is commonly found in nature and can be found in waters such as lakes, ponds and oceans. In addition, this type of infection often occurs in people who wear contact lenses and do not handle them properly.
“I was bedridden for three weeks and at home for four months. I was unemployed for a total of five months.explains the school assistant who highlights that his life is now limited by this infection.
He assures that he lost sight in his left eye and now he can only restore it if he accepts it corneal transplantsomething that is also not completely safe.
