In the Kherson region alone, authorities say seven people were killed and around 15 injured.
In the village of Shyroka Balka, Russian artillery fire killed five people early Sunday, according to Ukrainian authorities, including a family of four consisting of a father, mother, a 12-year-old son and a baby just 23 days old.
The region was bombarded 17 times by Russian troops on Sunday, Zelensky said. The local military administration declared a regional day of mourning in the region on Monday.
