The 2002 tipparade with Oakenfold’s Starry Eyed Surprise as the alarm disc. Who would you say? Paul! Born on August 30, 1963 in England. Started with italodisco, soul and house music and founded his own record label Perfecto. Generate ao Happy Monday. Paul it. And that punch? Below is for you, as well as 4 other rather faded hits that sounded daily on the radio in the fall of 2002.
12. (13) Frank Boeijen/Paskal Jakobsen – No Danger
A special collaboration and not only with this single. Also on the CD single De Liefdegaat you will find the duet Frank and Paskal: Het Antwoord (Frank Boeijen Groep original from 1982). No Danger can be found on Heden’s 2001 album. Alle Menschen Werden Brüder. Good thoughts.
22. (24) Laava – Wherever You Are (I Feel Love)
Oops, a few weeks tipparade and completely out of sight. German story with Fernanda Brandão from Brazil. There’s a 2nd single in the making, Jiggy and the whole album, but we haven’t seen one in record stores yet. After this not so successful Lavaa, we found it again at Hot Banditoz. Several albums and singles and hits in Germany with Veo Veo and Shake Your Balla. On paper, this year’s lyric winners seem to us, but judge for yourself.
27. (–) Appleton – Fantasy
The duo from Canada will be in the Top 40 for exactly 2 weeks, at 40 and 39. And while the UK brings them the Top 3 list for single Fantasy. Never heard of it after that. Like Appleton, but part of All Saints. We found 9 quotes in the Hits file, including hit number 4 from 1997’s Never Ever.
29. (–) Kate Ryan – Mon Coeur Resiste Encore
Kate, who can also be called Katrien, we know from the cover of Mylene Farmer Désenchantée which took 2nd place in the Top 40 with us. It comes from her album Different which also contains another cover by Mylene Libertine. And this single. It remained on Tip, but grew to become an almost number 1 hit in Spain.
