Revolut’s newest member of the Dutch Banking Association

The Dutch Banking Association welcomes a new face to its membership base: Revolut.

NVB is delighted with its newest member. “Revolut brings a new profile to an ever-changing sector,” explained NVB general manager Eelco Dubbeling. “Diversity among our members is critical to finding ways together in new technologies and further digitalization of financial services.”

The NVB hopes that Revolut can make a valuable contribution to issues such as the digital euro, open finance and AI in the association.

Dutch branch

Although this online bank is based in the UK, Revolut recently opened its first branch in the Netherlands. Since November, all Dutch Revolut accounts are managed from local branches and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank.

“The registration of the Revolut Bank UAB branch in the Netherlands makes us a complete bank in this country,” explained Francesco Aghemio (Branch Head and Head of Lending at Revolut Netherlands and Belgium) at that time. “This allows us to offer accounts with a Dutch IBAN.”
