If you want to go overseas by train, you have to account for delays and cancellations. For example, there are no trains going to and from Austria on November 28. Night trains will be canceled from Sunday evening. Train passengers bound for Belgium and the UK have also been affected by the strike.

Austria

Austrian railroads and unions tried in vain on Sunday to prevent a strike. There will be no trains all day on Monday. About 50 night trains will be canceled on Sunday, incl Amsterdam – Vienna night train and Amsterdam–Innsbruck (and vice versa). Trains can also be canceled on Tuesdays.

belgium

Also in Belgium, part of the Belgian railway staff has announced it will stop working. The strike will start at 22:00 on the evening of Monday, November 28, and will last until Thursday, December 1. “For most of the international rail connections (namely Thalys, Eurostar, TGV INOUI and IC Brussels-Amsterdam) we expect regular servicetold the NMBS. This concerns the areas around Namur, Walloon Brabant, and the Belgian province of Luxembourg.
