The president of the republic, Dina Boluarte, stated that the interstate agreement signed with the United Kingdom represents a unique opportunity to improve health services for the benefit of the country’s citizens.
“Brothers and sisters, since I took office, we have worked with results and we show them with facts, These agreements represent a unique opportunity to begin improving health care for the benefit of the citizens of our beloved country“, he said.
In this case, he shows just that the health of our compatriots “should not be delayed any further” and that the management is encouraging the development of bigger and better hospital infrastructure in the country.
“I thank the UK for its support and confidence in our Government to implement these projects in Trujillo and PiuraThis alliance strengthens ties of cooperation and friendship and allows us to advance on the path towards a more just, equal and democratic Peru.“, he said.
Likewise, he indicated that the signing of this contract would not only benefit the Peruvian people in the north of the country, but also “A fundamental step was taken in the commitment to improve the health services of our brothers and sisters“.
“Based on these two agreements we will implement the new infrastructure of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, in La Libertad; and the High Complexity Hospital of the District 26 de Octubre in Piura, with this we will benefit more than one million inhabitants in Trujillo and more than 3 million in Piura, the latter will also serve patients from Tumbes, Lambayeque and Cajamarca“, he said.
Furthermore, he detailed this in depth infrastructure in Trujillo will invest more than 1,400 million soles and will have 28,600 pieces of state-of-the-art medical equipment, and will also house a hospital level III-1.
Meanwhile, in p hospital in Piura, this will also be level III-1, with an investment of 968 million soles for it and will have 600 beds and more than 7,000 pieces of medical equipment.
