PDC has announced a darts calendar for the year 2023. In total, over the coming season, there will be over 170 days of darts on the various PDC circuits.
After returning to the full calendar in 2022, the PDC European Tour will again feature 13 tournaments in 2023, starting with a debut in Kiel, Germany.
Eight Euro Tour events will take place in Germany, complemented by visits to the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The Netherlands Euro Tour Tournament will be played in Leeuwarden from 28 to 30 April.
In the expanded PDC Women’s Series, 24 events will take place at venues across the UK and Germany over six playing weekends. Starting places for the Women’s World Games and the World Darts Championship can be obtained.
Following the World Darts Championships, the initial focus will be on the PDC Qualifying Schools, which will be held in the UK and Germany from 9-15 January. Milton Keynes and Kalkar will host UK and European Q-Schools in 2023, respectively.
During the first TV show of the new season, PDC will be breaking new ground in Bahrain with the Bahrain Darts Masters. It is the first of five confirmed international events for the World Series of Darts in 2023.
Following the visit to Bahrain, they travel to Copenhagen for the second World Series tournament of the year. After that, 24 of the world’s best darters will compete in the Masters in Milton Keynes on January 27-29.
The new Premier League Darts season kicks off on February 2 in Belfast. The round in the Netherlands will take place on Thursday 20 April in Ahoy Rotterdam. The play-offs will take place in London on May 25.
The UK Open will take place from March 3-5 at Butlin’s Minehead Resort. From 15-18 June, Frankfurt will host the Darts World Cup, before the world’s best stars head to Blackpool for World Matchplay from 15-23 July. The second edition of the Women’s World Matchplay will also take place on July 23. Eight of the best Women’s Series players can participate in this.
Amsterdam will once again host the World Series of Darts Finals from September 15-17, before Leicester will host the World Grand Prix from October 2-8.
The top 32 of the European Tour Order of Merit will go to Dortmund for the European Championship from 26-29 October, while the Grand Slam of Darts takes place in Wolverhampton from 11-19 November.
A total of 30 Players Championship events will be played in 2023 at venues in Barnsley, Hildesheim, Wigan and Leicester. The top 64 players in the Players Championship Order of Merit advance to Minehead for the Players Championship Finals, which take place November 24-26.
The Challenge and Development Tour will again feature 24 tournaments, with players from around the world vying for seats on the TV show, while the first round of the PDC World Youth Championship will take place in August and the final at Minehead in November.
