Every week we curate a list of the hottest and most delicious new releases for you. This week you can check out new music from Sam Ryder, Coldplay, Lost Frequencies, Aitch and Ed Sheeran, Anitta and Missy Elliott, among others.
SOMEONE – Sam Ryder
The UK was rocked when Sam Ryder came second in the Eurovision Song Contest in May. His Space Man was a huge hit in his home country and the song was declared the Alarm Disc in our country. Next year, Sam will be one of the defining faces when the UK hosts a major festival for Ukraine. Someone is the successor to Spaceman and shows a completely different sound from the singer. It’s a cheerful uptempo song about finding true love. This is a preview of Sam’s album, which will be released sometime in the autumn.
HUMAN – Coldplay
Humankind was already played extensively on Belgian radio last week, which means that Belgium is still in the early stages, because the song is not yet an official single. The decision was made last Thursday: this is the track that will do it for Coldplay in the near future. At the same time, a video clip appeared containing images of the current Music Of The Spheres World Tour, which seems to pass through the Netherlands. It seems, because don’t we see a taxi with ‘Amsterdam’ written on it in the clip? And isn’t there ‘Johan Cruijff Arena’ at the top right of the screen in the Music Of The Spheres symbol? There is a good chance that the British band will soon set fire to the largest stadium in the Netherlands with Humankind, among other things. A track that seems to be made for stadiums: it slowly builds up to a thunderous chorus.
HIGH CHEMISTRY – Lost Frequency
The expectations surrounding Lost Frequencies’ song Questions (with James Arthur) were very high. The song was declared an Alarm Disc and is still in the Dutch Top 40, but after 9 weeks, 29 is still the highest position achieved so far. Very narrow. But Felix De Laet, as the Belgian DJ and producer is known, has released a new song: Chemical High. A song with a great tropical touch, ideal for remembering your last summer vacation and getting through the post-vacation period (yes, that exists).

There’s more coming out this week. Ed Sheeran made a surprise contribution to My G, by British rapper Aitch. The track is reminiscent of Read All About It by Professor Green and Emeli Sandé. Anitta teamed up with Missy Elliott on Infectious Lobby, while Lukas got his hands on Khalid’s Graham. Sophie And The Giants tried it without the Purple Disco Machine on We Own The Night and Zedd teamed up with Maren Morris again and got some extra help from Beauz. Dries Roelvink amped up his TikTok sensation with Fantastico, a collaboration with Bankzitters, and Wulf did what he does best: release catchy pop songs.
