Mores’ reporting center was not available on Friday and Saturday for comment on a disclosure article by de Volkskrant who wrote about the breach in the editorial office of NOS Sport.
Mores is the reporting point for unwanted behavior in the cultural and creative sectors. The chairman is Janke Dekker, who is married to NOS presenter Tom Egbers. He would, according to the article de Volkskrant has been guilty of transgressive and intimidating behavior.
Dekker recently temporarily suspended his work for Mores. Councilor Amber de Vente replaced him. Hotline previously stated that Dekker’s decision was “absolutely unrelated” to an investigation into transgressive behavior at NOS Sport. The intention is for Dekker to return in April as chairman and face of Mores.
In January, Dekker said on Radio NPO 1 that he would resign immediately if reports came out about him or members of his family. “The reputation of a hotline always comes first,” says Dekker. “There are also complaints about me. If only one comes out, then I will be held accountable and I will resign.”
NOS announced in an inventory report on Thursday that reports had been received of bullying, (sexual) bullying, discrimination, verbal aggression, and integrity issues for more than twenty years.
