Mollie has now also launched Mollie Capital in the UK. Mollie Capital is a fully integrated business financing service for small and medium-sized companies and has been launched in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in 2022. One of the first companies to use this is Dutch CookingLife.
In countries where Mollie Capital is already offered, companies that have been processing payments through Mollie for more than three months can apply for financing of up to EUR 350,000 in the Netherlands and financing of up to EUR 250,000 in Belgium and Germany. In England the amount reaches 250,000 British pounds sterling.
This financing can be easily applied for via the Mollie Dashboard and then assessed from various aspects. An important criterion here is the transaction history with Mollie. When the application is approved, in most cases the requested amount is available on the same day.
There are currently more than 5,000 small and medium-sized companies in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands that have applied for financing through Mollie, with a total value of more than 50 million euros. This financing is especially requested during or near peak retail seasons, such as Black Friday and holidays.
Mollie has been active in the UK since early 2021, and at that time was licensed under the temporary authorization scheme for EU-based financial services providers. In June 2023, Mollie received a payments institution license from the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
