Queen Elizabeth II’s body now rests at the Palace of Holyrood, the royal family’s official residence in Edinburgh, the capital of scotland. After a journey that lasted about six hours, the queen’s body left her beloved Balmoral castle forever.

Thousands of Scots flanked the funeral procession, with a general and respectful silence broken only by applause or to throw flowers. Despite the populace’s desire for independence, the relationship between Scotland and Queen Elizabeth has always been very close and in her recent journey through her streets it has been proved.
