Health transferred 30 members of the brigade to the city affected by the forest fires

The Ministry of Health dispatched 30 medical brigades from the Rapid Response Team to cities affected by forest fires and heat sources in the national territory, to provide timely treatment to residents, reported the head of the national program for Disaster Attention and Control. , Milton Gonzales.

He said that currently five brigades had been transferred to Beni, three to Cochabamba, and two to La Paz.

“Ministry of Health, supporting health centers in cities with Rapid Response Teams at national level, we have about 30 people ready to respond if local capacities are exceeded,” said Gonzales in an interview with Salud y Life of Bolivia Television.

Doctors primarily treat cases of conjunctivitis, tension headaches, low back pain and respiratory problems.

In the same way, dehydration and burns caused by firefighters working in fire mitigation are treated.

He appealed to people in this fire-prone area to avoid chaqueos or burning in chacos which cause fires that usually get out of control due to weather conditions at times like these.
