Last month, Netflix released its long-awaited documentary series Harry & Megan. In it, Prince Harry (38) and Meghan Markle (41) do their part of the big story. The series appears in two parts on the streaming service and could garner a lot of attention. Because of that attention, the series is now officially the second most-watched documentary on Netflix.

Prince Harry has been in the news for the past two months. In December 2022, his and his wife Meghan’s documentary series went online and this month he made a biography. Both projects did not immediately become love letters to the British royal family, which only increased viewer interest. The ratings also attest to this Harry & Megan on Netflix.

Netflix released the six-episode docuseries last month Harry & Megan. It occurs in two parts. The first part is mainly about how the couple met each other and their difficult integration into the British royal family. The second part mainly revolves around Harry and Meghan’s new life outside the royal family.

Harry and Meghan’s candid and firm tone of the Institute (the nickname of the British royal family, ed.) speaking has generated little criticism in the UK. Some social media also called the report unnecessary.

Looking at the numbers

But that doesn’t change the fact that people continue to watch the documentary with great interest. And that has now confirmed that the series is the second most-watched documentary on Netflix. Netflix themselves said this when announcing their numbers from last year, via Bloomberg.

Already in the first week after release Harry & Megan already for one their debut record with 81.6 million hours watched. The series seems to have been able to maintain that success, as it is now the second most popular documentary on the streaming service. If we add up all the viewing figures for the last month, the series totaled 241.5 million watch hours.
