French women’s bus thrown into quarter-finals against Netherlands: National coach’s target?

Rotherham threw a bus at French footballers’ players before their European Championship quarter-final against the Netherlands. The bus en route from the hotel to the stadium was hit by a projectile, French newspapers report L’Equipe who posted photos of broken windows. According to the newspaper, the assailant appeared to be targeting national team coach Corinne Diacre.

According to the newspaper, no injuries were reported. It is not yet known who the perpetrators were, although according to several eyewitnesses it was stated that it was a boy whose country could not be ascertained.
