Formula 1 fans who want to watch their favorite sport live without subscribing to additional pay channels will also have fewer viewing options in the Netherlands in the future.

And then the opportunity to watch these free broadcasts ends. Starting in 2019, Formula 1 in the UK can be watched exclusively on the pay channel Sky Sports. Anyone in the Netherlands who wants to watch Formula 1 without subscribing to a pay channel can only access RTL Germany. The channel recently extended its broadcast rights agreement, meaning the qualifying and races of all Formula 1 Grands Prix will continue to be shown on the channel for years to come.
