Santo Domingo, February 28. Representatives from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and mental health experts will participate in the Dominican Republic in the First Ibero-American Congress against Burnout, the workforce burnout syndrome that affects workers.
As reported by the organization in a statement on Tuesday, the event, which will take place from June 29 to July 2 at the Casa de Campo in La Romana (southeast of the Dominican Republic), will involve nearly 500 mental health professionals from Latin America. , Europe and the United States, as well as executives, professionals, Human Resources managers, and “coaches”.
Among the guests were Carmen Martínez Viciana, representing PAHO; Alejandra Vallejo-Nágera, Spanish psychologist and health expert; Spanish neurologist Néstor Braidot and American psychologist and fatigue expert Michael Leiter.
Other speakers who will be attending the event are Carl Honoré, author and spokesperson for Slow Down Movement (United Kingdom); Ismael Cala, American strategist and communicator, and Italian Aldo Cívico, “coach” and leadership expert.
“Congress will debate the tools that make it possible to combine business productivity and personal well-being, in one of the most heavenly places in the Caribbean. We welcome PAHO/WHO and all invited speakers,” said María Méndez, president and founder of the Vacation Is a Human Right (VIAHR) foundation, which advocates “mindful breaks” to create a more humane work environment and help employees reduce stress.
