Eneraqua Technologies plc announced that the use of Control Flow HL2024 technology has unlocked the development of a large commercial site for one of its local government group customers. This is based on the success of the company’s clean water neutrality program which has been used to enable new housing developments. In the UK and Europe, the approval of many new residential and commercial developments has been delayed due to concerns about water neutrality and nutrition in local watersheds.

In the UK, the Federation of Home Builders estimates that this issue is currently delaying the approval of around 120,000 new homes. The same concerns apply to commercial development, with many projects being put on hold in the UK. After successful trials last year, the Control Flow HL2024® Eneraqua?

use Eneraqua products to open new homes that have to deal with neutrality issues. After extensive long-term testing, the Control Flow HL2024 product was recognized for providing long-term water savings by reducing water wastage in the home. On average, they reduce water consumption by more than 20%.

By reducing the long-term demand from existing homes, the HL2024® Flow Control? product space required for new construction. As a result of the water savings achieved, approval has now been given for the first commercial site, which was affected by delays due to water neutrality issues.

The opening of a 14,500m² factory and warehouse has been kept under planning since 2021 due to concerns from Natural England about the impact on local water resources. Through a program of installing Control Flow HL2024 products in existing homes in the area, Natural England has agreed that there is an adequate water supply and has now approved the opening of the project. This is expected to create around 200 new jobs in the area.
