To compile the top fifty, 50Best annually calls on a variety of travel experts. A total of 580 people voted – half of them were travel journalists, 30 percent were hoteliers and 20 percent were experienced luxury travelers. Because the hotel doesn’t have one fairy had to pay to participate in the competition, the voting round was completely fair according to the organization.
