Corus Laboratory expands to England. Spanish dental group has acquired British company Byrnes Dental Laboratory and by operation will reach 74 laboratories across Europe and 1,650 employees.
The group has not yet announced operating prices, which would mean entering new markets. The company was advised by Steven & Bolton and BDO to make the purchase.
So, Corus has provided digital prosthetics and orthodontic services in nine countries. Apart from England, it is present in Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
The laboratory acquired is in Oxford and serves dental clinics in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. It has 47 employees and is owned by Ashley Byrne, who will retain her executive position at the company.
Corus is looking for more operations in the UK
Operation it was only Corus’ first steps in the archipelagowho is thinking of integrating more laboratories run by local entrepreneurs, who are part of its shareholders.
“Byrnes Lab has an excellent team and they have led the way in digitizing modern dentistry in the UK. This move will enhance our skills, consolidate our leading position in Europe and attract other companies,” said two co-directors of Corus, Nicolas Bonnard and Jeroen van Asten.
