It is not yet known who will perform, but according to Buckingham Palace it will be a combination of “international music icons and contemporary performers”. Several thousand British people were able to get two free tickets to the concert via a raffle. The Coronation Choir will also appear on stage: singers from among others refugees, LGBTI and sign language choirs.
People from across the UK were called in to host what’s being called the Coronation Big Lunch on 7 May. Initiatives should combat loneliness and allow friendships to flourish. A day later, people are called upon to devote themselves to one another during The Big Help Out; charities run activities where Brits can help and do something for the community.
Westminster Abbey
It was previously announced that Charles would be crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. This service contains aspects of religion and tradition. King Charles and Empress Camilla arrived in a procession, known as the King’s Procession, from Buckingham Palace.
After the service, the royal couple will also return there, along with other members of the royal family. At the end of the day, the royal family greets the public from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
