Climate Connect Digital – Carbon neutrality achieved in fiscal year 2021-2022

(Information sent by the signing company)

LONDON, January 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Climate Connect Digital (CCD), A leading provider of climate technology solutions, today released its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory for fiscal year 2021-22 (April 2021 to March 2022), announcing the implementation of compensation measures. That GHG inventory report covers the global business activities of all your employees, for all of your staff, interns and consultants, including UK, Spanish, Malaysian and India.

Under the GHG Protocol, the CCD can only quantify Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions. A company’s Scope 2 emissions from electricity purchased in a rented office are estimated to be over 1 tonne of CO2 equivalent. Scope 3 emissions, which include activities such as business travel, use of cloud servers in customer domains, transmission and distribution losses, and working from home, were calculated as 141,179 tCO2e. It should be noted that work-from-home emissions are an important part of Scope 3.

To offset these emissions, CCD has purchased quality replacement from various renewable projects ( VCU-1946) and nature-based ( VCU-1477) registered at Vera. CCD recognizes that offsetting is not a long-term solution, but an effective short-term step towards global emission reduction targets. The company is committed to finding new ways to reduce its carbon footprint and is doing everything possible to implement them quickly.

Reports on emission assessments and offset disclosures have been prepared in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard methodology and the GHG program of India. Emission data has been verified by external auditor TUV India Pvt. Ltd ( check the TUV report here).

Nitin Tanwarthe company’s founder and Head of Ecosystems, commented from London: “Carbon accounting is the first step in achieving our net zero goal. The work-from-home policies triggered by the pandemic have significantly changed our Scope 3 emission mix. As a global network of zero service providers, we understand the complexity carbon data management and attach great importance to data integrity, which is why we choose to verify our emissions through external auditors, although we have no obligation to do so.
