Zwolle – Tim de Wit, former NOS correspondent in England, is coming to the Brothers Academy. In his lectures he takes you back to England.
The British are known for their humour, the music of The Beatles and The Stones, James Bond films, the royal family and football. Tim de Wit lived in England during extraordinary times. He reported in London for NOS and Trouw, among others, on the political turmoil around Brexit. It turns out seven years of special journalism. And in the Netherlands it was not finished: Liz Truss became the shortest-serving prime minister ever and the Queen died, more than seventy years after her coronation.
So there’s a lot to tell and consider about Great Britain. Tim de Wit can do it like no other. Somewhat like the British themselves, as he proves in his book Shaky Kingdom. Currently Tim de Wit works at Bureau Buitenland (VPRO, Radio 1) and he has the Europa Draait Door podcast. In this lecture he takes us back to England.
Date and time: Saturday, February 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
