ask France for help – El Tiempo

For some time now, we Peruvians have been telling the world that we don’t know how to do things and we need governments, especially European ones, to be those in charge of great works.

Our situation is sad, but that’s how it is. It all started with building infrastructure for the Pan American Games and now trying to apply to many other worksespecially those considered more complex.

Given the problem of reconstruction, it was necessary to enlist the help of the UK to be responsible for the construction of hospitals such as those in Chulucanas and Sullana. Also from other schools and health centers. The same is true of very complex hospital cases. We no longer trust the State as the executor of the work.

Asking another government to take over our affairs is an acknowledgment for our incompetence, and our rulers are proud of it. Our institutional urgency is such that even in the highest spheres of power they do nothing to be efficient.

In this case, the request that France be responsible for the operation of our hospital is reasonable. The efficiency shown by the UK in accelerating the construction of two hospital centers is the best cover letter, especially in terms of speed. However, we don’t know how this hospital will turn out and whether the technology installed is good enough to deliver on what they have promised us.

Unfortunately, our inefficiency, but above all, the high level of corruption has brought us to this situation. Many Peruvians no longer want the state, especially local and municipal governments and ministries, to manage public resources.

Every year more than 20 billion soles for corruption and that should embarrass us and lead us to reconsider and look for mechanisms to stop the cancer that is destroying us as a society and which is making our lives more difficult every day.

The hospital for Piura was an emergency and the decision to execute him took too long. France, England or others have to build it, but as soon as possible. We cannot continue to die from lack of medical care.
