Arctic Monkeys Announce North American Tour, Space For European Summer Festival

Even more news from the Arctic Monkey camp. After their UK tour, the rock band has now also announced a North American tour. There’s still plenty of free time for Alex Turner and co in the summer between their legs.

The Arctic Monkeys UK Tour runs from late May to 25 June. Between the two there seems to be room for a prominent place at Glastonbury. The North American tour begins in Minneapolis on August 25 and ends in Los Angeles on September 29.

Room for European summer festival

All the free time the monkeys have in July and August can lead to a whole new set of shows in Europe. While the band already gave a few shows at Lowlands 2022 and Pukkelpop 2022 last summer, they have an album coming up Car has not been able to adequately present it to the European public. However, it can now be concluded that festivals like Pinkpop and Best Kept Secret were lost due to touring through the UK. That offers opportunities for Rock Werchter and Down The Rabbit Hole. The festival takes place in early July.

New album Car and new single

This new tour will of course be accompanied by a new album to come. This month it’s time: a new full-length from Arctic Monkeys. On October 21 you can Car listen fully. Last summer you could already hear the songs from the album. For example, the Swiss audience was presented with the song ‘I’m Not Where I Think I Was’. Since then followed by singlesThere Should Be a Mirror Ball‘ and ‘body paint‘.
