DKV Innolab, a DKV initiative to promote innovation in the health sector, named Memodio the winning project of the second edition of the DKV Challenges, which calls for open innovation in digital health to identify and capture innovative ideas.

On the other hand, this moment focuses on healthy aging. The winner of the DKV Challenge was determined by a jury consisting of company executives, with the support of an expert jury in the field of digital health, consisting of Aline Noizet, founder of Digital Health Connector; Antoni Salvà, director of the UAB Foundation for Health and Development; Frederich Llordachs, founder and CEO of Doctomatic and Doctoralia; Izabel Alfany, general director of EIT Health Spain; José Carlos Ruiz, Professional Services manager at InterSystems Iberia; and Ana Pérez, director of the Ship2B accelerator.

What is Memodio?

Memodio GmbH is an application that works for the prevention of dementia, helping people with cognitive deficiencies to reduce the risk of suffering from dementia. Thus, the application offers functions such as individual therapy, improvement of concentration and performance, as well as awareness of the risks and dangers that can be suffered. All of these tools were created to maintain brain health and face daily life, thereby maintaining the patient’s quality of life. Memodio has secured €8,000 and this initiative will be rewarded for coverage as an additional service within DKV insurance.

The finalists are:

• Longevity Training Appby Hearts Radiant SL – An app that measures key health biomarkers, sets quarterly goals with a coach, and provides tools and daily routines with personalized live classes to reach your goals.

• Enola App: an app that creates personalized workouts in very easy steps.

• Five Lives: an app that “adds lives for years,” created by UK National Health Service (NHS) doctors, focuses on preventing dementia with personalized cognitive health coaches.
